“ The food was DELICIOUS! You could taste the culture in the food. Each bite was better than the last. My friends and I each ordered something different so we could taste as much of the menu as possible. I would definitely recommend this as a must visit to anyone in New Orleans! ”
“ We got seated fairly quickly and we're tucked into a little corner which in the front room. Although a little warm we weren't surprised with that since it is older historical building. We started with the charcuterie board and a pimm's flight. Both were very good. We were surprised we enjoyed the one with gin as neither of us were fans of gin normally. The tomato jam was a great addition to the different cheeses and meats. We then ordered the muffaletta sandwich and salad. The sandwich is served warmed. I originally was worried the bread was too thick it was not and was perfectly delicious. The salad was a good portion and was also very good although it does have an extra something that is different than the sandwich. We would easily order everything again and enjoyed our first dinner to NOLA ...we also left full but not miserable full. Thanks for an enjoyable dinner ”
“ There is a reason this place is so busy, it's reasonable value with really eats. The warm muffaletta is not only unique but really good on its own. Their po boy is totally on point. The place is historic, and lived in, not pretentious. Totally worth looking around in non-rush times. Pimms cup is a really nice cocktail to cool off a notch on a hot night/day. ”
“ This is very much a local spot- it’s not a tourist attraction, but is is historical. The staff are friends who have known each other from growing up in this community, it almost feels like a small town joint. If you’re looking for a real New Orleans local experience, stand in the line- it goes by quicker than it looks and the conversations flow into the restaurant! As a vegetarian, the muffuletta without the meat was still really freakin delicious and the spinach artichoke dip comes in a warm dense bread bowl I was stuffed and happy! ”
“ We went to Napoleon House to get the best versions of classic New Orleans dishes and it did not disappoint. The first time we went we got the Muffuletta, chicken & Andouille Gumbo and the charcuterie board. All were excellent and the board had a delicious spread of different foods, all were exceptional. The bread on the Muffuletta was not too thick and the sauce from the gumbo was very tasty. The second time we went was to get the Creole Jambalaya which was very good. The fresh fruit was also fresh and excellent, as was the Sazerac cocktail. On our second visit we were in the courtyard at the back which we liked the atmosphere more, it was a classic New Orleans vibe. Our server Adelle was nice and attentive , even with the place quite busy, it was not too loud and the service was great. ”
